April showers bring May flowers ~ Wordless Wednesday

Here’s the thing…..we had snow on Mother’s Day. Yup, you heard me correctly, snow. Shockingly this is not completely unusual here in the Northeast. Luckily I had covered the seedlings and herbs that we planted outside last week so nothing was lost.

Today we’re supposed to hit 75 degrees after a few morning showers. I’m ready for it! As sick as I am of the cold and rain I will say this….the April showers have done their job well and are bringing in the May flowers! The girls have been helping out in the gardens here at home and over at Nana and Papa’s house.

It may be hard work but the rewards are so worth it! So, here’s to sunshine and warm weather going forward! Have the April showers brought you May flowers?

  2. {Melinda} I live in Florida and we didn’t really have any winter like weather (usually we have a few weeks of cool temps) at all. And believe it or not, I miss it. It’s near 90 degrees here today and will probably stay there for the next five months. Sigh.

Enjoy those mild days! Beautiful photos!

I hear THAT! I was just at my 25th college reunion in Ohio over Memorial Day and it was 42F! I wore three layers all weekend — including a sweater, leather jacket and a cashmere cape. FREEZING! So not like Memorial Days in Florida where we do things like go to the beach. Stopping by from SITS. Enjoy your day!
