The first day of mid-winter break is upon us and the girls are excited to go out in the snow. We have a week full of plans to play, bake, and crafts. However, I’m feeling the grip of the mid-winter blahs begin to tighten. I mean, seriously, February has got to be the longest month EVER. That’s right, I said it.
I know that it’s the shortest month but why on earth does it seem to drag on forever? It’s cold, dark, snowy and just all together dreary. Everyone is feeling claustrophobic. The house has been closed up for much too long and I want to let the fresh air in! Spring is just around the corner. It’s so close I can taste it! I’m ready for the snow to melt, the sun to come out, and to open my darn windows!
So that’s exactly what I’m going to do…..metaphorically at least! I’m sprucing up the blog now so when the skies begin to clear next month I can focus on sprucing up my home (spring cleaning anyone?)! Over the next few weeks I will be making the move from Blogger to Word Press AND launching a new design! I can’t wait to show you all my new look.
I’m looking forward to dusting off the cobwebs and opening the windows here in my little bloggy world. Plus, the satisfaction of checking off one of my goals for 2013 is going to feel amazing as well! Don’t worry, I am confident that it will be “business as usual” here at My Rural Mommy during this transition and I will give you all a heads up if there is any expected down time over the next couple of weeks.
So, lets all raise a glass to beating the February funk and moving quickly towards the warmer, brighter, and energizing days of spring!
