Happy Blogiversary to me!!!

Last January when I started this little ole blog I could never have imagined that it would still be going strong (and growing) a year later! When I first started blogging I was working full time and viewed it as a great platform to vent about both my frustrations and successes as a parent. But not much more than that.

As time went on and I unexpectedly became a stay at home mom I realized that aside from being an outlet for my thoughts this could become more than just a hobby for me. Through not only writing, but also reading blogs I have been able to make connections with other mothers that I never would have otherwise.

I’m still learning how to be a good parent but I think as time has passed my children have taught me a lot. My only hope is to share my experiences with other moms who might be facing the same challenges that I have. I love reading blogs and being able to take away lessons from other moms that help me to make it through the day with a shred of sanity!

Having said all of that I do actually have interests outside of blogging (hard to believe, I know). For you readers that don’t know me in real life I thought I would share a few “fun facts” to help you get to know me a little better.

Fun facts about Mommy

Growing up I always wanted to work in the music industry and in my own head I am a total Rock Star!
Being the oldest of 4 children I am incredibly bossy. (I like to call it driven)
The nerd in me loves numbers while the redneck in me loves Nascar.
I have a strange obsession with the movie, “Sweet Home Alabama”. If it’s on, I HAVE to watch it.
If I have it my way I will eventually move south and embrace my moonshiner family history.
Even though I live just a few hours away from NYC I have never been there!
