Wordless Wednesday ~ Chocolate Banana Bread

One of my favorite uses for the over ripe bananas that the kids refuse to eat is making banana bread. A few weeks ago we decied to try a new recipe that I found on Money Saving Mom for Freezer Friendly Chocolate Banana Bread

Since we had so many bananas I decided to make a double batch doing both bread and muffins. The girls loved helping smash the bananas as usual and here is the proof!

Adding chocolate to the banana bread was a revelation! So delicious! We ate the muffins right away and froze the bread for later. You can find the recipe here on the Money Saving Mom blog (one of my faves!) and see for yourself.

Do you bake with your kiddos? Please feel free to share your recipes in the comments!

Thanks for the pics, BTW…my mouth is watering :)

  3. Oh I could so adapt this to be a whole foods recipe and amazingly delicious like this looks! Fantastic pics too!

  4. Hee, hee. I always have told people that I will eat banana bread, but only with chocolate! It just makes life better. :)

  5. Looks really yummy! Thanks for the pics and the recipe link, I can’t wait to make this with my kids. I have a 4 year old and a 1 1/2 year old so one gets to throw stuff in a bowl while the other can do more hands on things. lol. But it’s such a reward to see their little faces when the finished product is done and they taste it and it’s delicious! Very proud moments and one all kids will no doubt treasure. New follower from vB btw. :)

  6. This looks to die for!!! I can’t wait for my bananas to ripen so my daughter (5 1/2) and I can make this recipe this weekend!! We make most if not all meals together. I love it!! Thank you so much for sharing.
